Orientation programs on mental health issue

An orientation program on mental health' was launched among the students of Bhakti Namuna Higher Secondary School. The discussion also covered some tips and techniques of managing oneself during natural disaster. The students participated enthusiastically in the discussion. The community mental health program of KOSHISH believes in " catch them young' which means we need to educate children on mental health so that they will grow up with the right understanding of mental health problems. The correct understanding will ultimately contribute to reducing social stigma attached with mental health.

Similarly, a discussion on mental health issue took place in gathering of health post and PHC in-charges of Tanahun at quarterly annual review meeting organized by district health office Damauli. The discussion focused on the importance of early identification of mental health problems and referral.  The health workers were notified about the ongoing psychiatric OPD at Damauli hospital and requested to refer the cases of mental health problem.
