In present time, Tiki Maya is an active person and does her work by herself. Her son has returned from India. The health condition of her husband is stable now. She is living with her husband, daughter, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Rearing grandchildren, playing with them are her daily activities. In addition, she is helping her son and daughter-in –law in household chores and other stuffs. By reuniting with her all family, which was segregated before, she is more happy and satisfied.
Tiki Maya's problem started when her husband became paralyzed, because of which she was burdened to manage all the family responsibilities. Both of her sons who were of young age went to India for employment but could not earn enough to support household. It was hard to arrange the cost for the medication for her husband and other expenditures. Gradually her mental health condition detoriot and spent nine precious years of her life in streets. She was rescued by KOSHISH in the coordination with Women and Children District Office, Government of Nepal.
On the other side, the relatives of Tiki Maya planned the marriage of Bhudhali, daughter of Tiki Maya. Unfortunately, all the marriage proposals failed because of her mother's mental health condition. Slowly, Budauli also developed mental health problem and went to the streets. Finally she was also rescued by KOSHISH.
Both mother and daughter got the holistic treatment in the KOSHISH transit home. Coincidently, they reunited through rehablitation services of KOSHISH during their treatment. Tiki Maya also went under operation for removal of cyst which was found through the ultrasound. After successful operation she was reintegrated back to her family and community. Her daughter was reintegrated a little earlier than Tikimaya. Both mother and daughter got the disability card for Psychosocial Disability of red category which happens to less in Nepal. KOSHISH provided a goat with two kids for their livelihood support. Now they have increased number of goats to seven on their own. Both are in the regular follow up from KOSHISH.
